Can I continue to work full-time while completing this program?
We do not recommend working full-time while enrolled in a full-time program. The first term is particularly demanding, as students are adjusting to the pace and expectations of graduate study while managing a full course load. For this reason, we strongly encourage students to take a leave from work, reduce their hours, or ensure they have significant flexibility from their employer, particularly during the first term.
While some students continue to work during the program, their ability to do so depends on the flexibility of their role, workload, and personal circumstances. Students should carefully assess whether they can balance professional commitments with the academic demands of the program.
Prospective students should also be aware that full-time students are expected to meet all academic deadlines and program requirements. Coursework extensions are not normally granted on the basis of professional or employment-related commitments. Students who anticipate maintaining substantial work responsibilities while studying may wish to consider one of OsgoodePD’s part-time graduate programs, which are specifically designed for working professionals.
